Decisión

Soy una persona muy madura,
pero nadie me conoce.
Mis amigos se hacen una falsa imagen de mí.
Yo no soy mansa.
He sopesado la mansedumbre en mis garras de águila y la conozco bien.
¡Oh, águila!, ¡qué dulzura hay en el vuelo de tus alas!
¿Vas a callar como todo?
¿Quieres quizá escribir? Tú ya no escribirás más.
Cada poema será el desgarramiento de un poema,
no será poema, sino huellas de garras.

Postanowienie

Jestem osobą już dojrzałą,
lecz nie zna mnie nikt.
Przyjaciele stworzyli sobie fałszywy obraz mnie.
Nie jestem łagodna.
Oszacowałam wagę łagodności w szponach mych orła i dobrze ją znam.
Och, orle! Co za słodycz zawiera się w locie skrzydeł twych!
Zamilkniesz jak wszystko?
Może pisać chcesz? Więcej nie napiszesz już.
Każdy wiersz będzie rozszarpywaniem wiersza,
nie wierszem lecz szponów śladem.

Resolve

I am a very mature person,
but no one knows me.
My friends have a false picture of me.
I am not tame.
I have weighed tameness in my eagle’s claws and know it well.
O eagle, what sweetness in the flight of your wings.
Will you be silent like everything else?
Will you write poetry perhaps? You shall write no more poetry.
Every poem shall be the tearing up of a poem,
not a poem but clawmarks.
